Could this benefit you:

People come to therapy to aid in a variety of circumstances. I do my best to explain the process and guide you while we work together to help achieve your goals.  When we meet, we will explore issues you struggle with, what led to their development, and why they continue to persist.  Therapy provides a space for individuals to explore individual thoughts, feelings, values, and identity, as well as set goals for personal growth and development.  I am wholeheartedly dedicated to assisting clients in accessing the support and resources necessary to navigate life's obstacles including managing anxiety and depression, recovering from past traumas, and fostering stronger connections with loved ones.

Therapy can be intimidating and scary.  It takes courage and vulnerability to approach the therapeutic process.

Individual Counseling

Are you parenting a child with challenging behaviors: aggression, sadness, endured a traumatic event, or having frequent meltdowns?

Young children communicate through play. Pretend play allows children to assume the control they so rarely experience living in a world run by adults.

Toys can be a child's words and play is their language. Through play, a child may be able to overcome challenges related to overwhelming emotions, traumatic experiences, and interpersonal relationships.

could this benefit your child?

Children do not always have words to communicate their struggles and can become overwhelmed by their emotions. Oftentimes, children seek out play to express their feelings.  Play therapy is a specialized form of therapy that utilizes play to help children express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and supportive environment.  Through toys, games, art, and imaginative activities, children can communicate and process difficult emotions, explore relationships, and develop coping skills.  Play therapy is particularly effective for addressing challenging behaviors, navigating transitions like divorce or trauma, and promoting emotional regulation and resilience in children.

It is a hard world to grow up in...an even harder world in which to be a parent.  Do not do it alone.

Child Therapist

Teens sometimes just need someone besides family to talk to about what is going on. It is important to remember that it is their first time experiencing these issues and they need support and the feeling of being heard without fear of judgement or repercussions from thoughts, conversations, responses, and ideas.

Teenage years is a time of challenges with communication patterns, both with peers and adults.  Therapy can help teens improve their communication skills, express themselves more effectively, and navigate conflict in relationships.

Could this benefit your teen:

Having over ten years experience working in a high school and therapeutic day school setting, I see the importance of having a safe, supportive, and confidential space for teens to process thoughts and feelings.  I assist teens in addressing their mental health concerns, navigate challenges, and develop the skills they need to thrive emotionally and socially. It is important to find a therapist who can connect with and understand the pressure teens face such as academic stress, peer pressure, family conflicts, identity issues, and more.  I work with teens and their parents to assist in offering a different perspective and healthy communication.

Being a teen can be challenging in today's society with pressures to fit in. For teens, I offer a safe and trusting environment to enhance strengths and develop healthy  coping strategies.
